Booshoo
Welcome to another year of studies at Wahsa Distance Education Centre. I hope you all had an enjoyable and restful summer break and you are ready for the challenges of the upcoming school year.
This year a big focus of our energies will be on our potential graduates. At present time we have just over 300 students in our system requiring four credits or less to graduate. If you are one of these students, early in the school year you will receive a telephone call from one of our education counsellors or teachers to gage your interest in graduating this year . If you indicate to them that you want to graduate this year, the teacher/counsellor will work with you to create your individualized education plan which, if you stick to it, will enable you to graduate with us in June 2010! All of us at Wahsa are excited about this new process and hope it results in Wahsa’s largest graduation class ever. If you have questions about the education plan, talk with your local DEC or call the Wahsa main office in Sioux Lookout to talk with your community education counsellor or a Wahsa teacher.
Good luck to all Wahsa students in your studies this year. Be sure to keep in contact with your teachers and education counsellor so we can help you realize your education goals.
